I'm on my 4th personal project - this one is called 366-2016, and it's a 366 Photo a Day project focusing on anything that catches my eye.
The other three personal projects:
366 Days of Pix was my reaction in 2012 to realizing that I mainly took pix for others and no longer for myself. So I set out to do a photo a day project. To force myself to take photos for me. It was a lot of fun but also a bit of work. And about a third of the way thru the blogging, I moved over to blogger but lost the linked posts. I have to repost those images.
Since I had so much fun with that project, I decided to do another. One that pushed me out of my comfort zone. 52 Faces of 2013 forced me to 'interview' people and come away with one environmental portrait that was that person. You know - the 'capture the soul' part of photography. That was the plan. It turned more into a learning blog as I explained my thinking, how I came in with one thought but ended up in a completely different place. Or, how I had no idea what I'd do and just be open to whatever happened. The project was awesome.
