I love taking photographs. I love watching how the light falls. How along with the shadows,
it changes how I see things. I love patterns and vivid color. I love visually stimulating scenes.
And I love how I can capture all of those things – sometimes fairly true to scene and other times true to feelings –
onto pixels and paper.
My main tools are a DSLR, various software applications and an unending supply of curiosity. I want to know what happens if I do this or that. Sometimes it works and I get to the picture in my head onto the paper. Sometimes it doesn’t and takes me into a direction I wasn’t expecting but I happily go along for the ride. I never know where it may take me.
I take photographs because I want to save
what I see and share it. I think there’s too much rushing around. I think that we miss a lot of the ordinary beauty in our everyday lives.
And by taking a photograph, maybe I can save a piece of that beauty for you to see.
